Terms of Service
These are the terms for using Ctrl + Cmd AI software, including any tool you connect a Google account to. They are written to be read, not to be survived. Using our software means you accept them.
01Who these terms are with
Ctrl + Cmd AI ("we", "us") is a software studio operating from Washington State, United States, reachable at [email protected]. "You" means the person or business using our software. If you agree to these terms for a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.
02What we provide
We provide automation software and related services: tools that connect to accounts you already own and perform tasks you have configured — sorting mail, drafting replies for your review, filing documents, reading and writing calendar events, updating spreadsheets. Where we have a separate signed agreement or written proposal with you, that document governs the specific work and these terms fill the gaps.
03Connecting your accounts
Some tools only work once you connect a third-party account, such as Google. When you do:
- You confirm you own that account, or are authorized to connect it.
- You grant us permission to act on that account only for the tasks the tool performs.
- You remain bound by that provider's own terms — connecting through us does not change your relationship with Google.
- You can disconnect at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Access ends immediately.
How that data is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
04Your responsibilities
- Keep your own credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you think they have been exposed.
- Use the software lawfully. Do not use it to send unsolicited bulk mail, to harass, to infringe someone's rights, or to break the terms of any connected provider.
- Review what goes out. Automated drafts are drafts. Where a tool can send, post or file on your behalf, you are responsible for what it sends under your name.
- Do not attempt to break into, overload, reverse-engineer or resell the software without our written agreement.
05Automated output
Our tools use software and AI models to produce drafts, summaries and suggestions. These can be wrong. They are a first pass for a human, not a final authority. Do not rely on automated output for legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional decisions without qualified review. Judgment stays with you — that is the design, not a disclaimer.
06Fees
Paid work is quoted in writing before it starts, and invoiced as that quote or proposal describes. Where no fee has been quoted and agreed, the software is provided at no charge and with no commitment to keep providing it.
07Ownership
We keep ownership of our software, tooling, methods, designs and brand. You keep ownership of your own content and data — connecting an account grants us permission to work on it, never ownership of it. Deliverables we build specifically for you under a paid engagement are yours on payment, as that engagement's terms describe.
08Availability
We may change, pause or retire features. For anything you actively depend on, we give reasonable notice where we can. Unless a signed agreement says otherwise, the software is provided without an uptime guarantee.
09Ending it
You may stop using the software and disconnect your accounts at any time, for any reason. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if a connected provider requires it, or if the law does. When access ends, we handle your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
10Warranties and liability
The software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Ctrl + Cmd AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the three months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or willful misconduct.
11Indemnity
You agree to cover us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the software, from content you send through it, or from your breach of these terms.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Kitsap County, Washington, and both sides consent to that venue.
13Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and material changes are emailed to active users before they take effect. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept it.
